The BEE blog is a new project from the Manchester Institute of Education (MIE). This blog aims to keep teachers up-to-date with our latest educational research by providing brief and accessible summaries of current research activity and publications. Posts cover research that may inform decisions in teachers’ day-to-day practice, with a focus on educational and holistic outcomes. We also offer overviews of notable research from the wider educational research community, such as research that is in the public eye. All posts include actionable points for teachers suggesting how research findings might be applied within their own practice.
The blog seeks to reach teachers in multiple roles, both SLT members and classroom-based teachers. We are very interested in engaging with teachers within the Greater Manchester area as this is our immediate community, and so alongside our goal of increasing teachers’ awareness of MIE research activity, we are keen to share findings from internal evaluations that schools are carrying out themselves with the support of MIE initiatives and networks. If you would be interested in sharing your school’s research on the BEE, please contact us at email@example.com.
In the meantime follow us on Twitter (@miebeeblog) and Facebook (facebook.com/miebeeblog) to keep up-to-date with the latest information from the educational research community, and be the first to hear when there are new posts!
